Higher Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center

Higher Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit organization that helps those with disabilities through an equine assisted program. Just outside of Warsaw, Ohio, Tom Roahrig heads an organization that understands the needs of those having a desire to improve balance, eye/hand coordination, language skills, improved visual acuity, group participation and social skills (among many other items) for their loved ones, by riding horses.

Here is an excerpt from 'How Program Works' - "With any new program, you will have trial and error. Of course, we hope to have little error but will no doubt learn as we go. Since the first session, we have seen great improvement already, improvement from the participants to the instructors and volunteers. Each day we find more resources to help improve the program. For example, Higher Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center joined NAHRA, a support and resource organization. From NAHRA we have gained access to many forms for administrative purposes to instruction lessons. We will continue to gain more information as we grow and improve."
